I love all things nostalgic. As a matter of fact, I have many times wished that I could go back and live in a time that was simpler than the ways of today. I guess that this would explain why it is that I am so in love with TV Land. This channel shows all of the old time favorite shows that I have watched for many years. It even shows programs that I can remember my parents watching when I was just a small child. I feel like watching these shows just take me back to way back when. I didn’t even have this channel until I saw an ad for direct tv packages New Jersey, where me and my husband live, and just couldn’t pass up the deal. Soon after I found TV Land while channel surfing, and have not gone back since to any other channels.

It is my opinion that shows that come on nowadays just do not compare to the old ones. They are not anywhere near as funny; they all involve some kind of sex or violence, and they just are not my cup of tea. When I set down to watch a sitcom, I want a show that is going to make me laugh and not make me feel bad for watching it with my kids in the room. It just amazes me some of the things that are allowed to be shown on regular tv these days. There are things that even make me blush and I am way past the age of curiosity.

TV Land is a channel that provides me with a much needed break from the here and now. I think we all need to remember a bit about the past from time to time.
